Zsolt Skultéty received his degree in Trumpet Perfomance from the Franz Liszt Academy of Music in Budapest. From 1990 to 2000 he worked as solo trumpet and trumpet teacher for the Cyprus National Symphonic Orchestra.
Since 2000 he has been a member of the Hungarian National Philharmonic Orchestra. As an orchestral musician he has performed on the stages of multiple internaional concert halls including but not limited to: New York’s Avery Fisher Hall, Tokyo’s Suntori Hall, the Berlin Philharmonie, Paris’ Salle Pleyer, Birmingham Symphony Hall, Amsterdam Concertgebouw, Palau de la Musica Barcelona, Vienna’s Musikverein, and the Kölner Philharmonie.
Since 2007 he has been teaching trumpet at the Béla Bartók Conservatory for Music. Besides performing as a member of symphonic orchestras he is an avid chamber musician. He performs regularly with the world famous Franz Liszt Chamber Orchestra, the Brassimum Wind Quintet as well as the Organ Concerts in St. Stephen’s Basilica and St. Michael’s Church in Budapest.
