Organ Artist

Gábor Szotyori Nagy commenced his studies of organ at the age of 14 with István Koloss, the Hungarian composer, and organist. From the age of 16 continued his studies at the Conservatory King St. Stephen. His teacher was László Deák.
He was graduated from the Faculty of Music of the University of Debrecen, Hungary in 2011. His teachers were dr. Dezső Karasszon, Szilárd Kovács, and dr. Dobiné dr. Hedvig Jakab.
He attended many excellent professors master courses, such as Christoph Bossert, Zsigmond Szatmáry, and Gergely Bogányi.

Awards
In 2013 he has been the qualifier of the semifinal on the world-famous International Organ Competition in Toulouse.
In 2011 he was honored for his excellent performance activity to György Gulyás Prize by the University of Debrecen.
He gained the scholarship granted by the Republic of Hungary for 2010/2011.
In 2009 and 2010, he participated in the International Organ Competition of Mondaino, Italy and Salerno-Faiano, Italy awarded with the third prize in both.

Performing career
He serves in church music since his childhood. Between 2010 and 2018 he was organ tutor of the Parish Church of Budapest. Currently, he is constant substitute organ tutor in the St. Stephen’s Basilica, and music director and organ tutor in the Calvinist Church Associate and High School, and as well as he constantly contributes in the organ concerts of the St. Stephen’s Basilica and St. Michael’s Chruch.
He has regular concert activity, performing 60-70 concert annually in Hungary and in abroad as well.
His international performances scenes have been: Austria, Germany, France, Italy, Switzerland, Latvia, Denmark, Poland, and Russia.
In his repertoire, every important work can be found from the early baroque composers till the contemporary music.
In 2011 tributing the Liszt bicentenary, he performed Franz Liszt’s all organ works and settings in a tour consisted of 13 concerts throughout the country.
